Central Maryland Regional Transit (CMRT)
CMRT manages transit service contracts for the State of Maryland, Howard County and the Anne Arundel Department of Social Services. CMRT also administers a four-county Connect-A-Ride system, serving approximately 657,000 passengers annually, including Jobs Access Reverse Commute (JARC) services in West Anne Arundel County. Also, under contract to Howard County, CMRT manages Howard Transit and the County’s fixed-route and paratransit service.

CMRT, in conjunction with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), began what is known as TRIP.

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA)

The MTA provides and supports accessible transit networks throughout Maryland that are reliable and efficient. The MTA administers some of the most-used public transportation systems in the state, such as the Baltimore Metro, light rail, MARC train, commuter bus and local bus, as well as a mobility/paratransit program.
