Active Day of Harford Medical Adult Day Care

Active Day is an adult daycare center for older adults and people with disabilities. As an added service to the day care center, Active Day offers a door-to-door transportation service to make sure their clients are able to get to their medical and recreational destinations safely and in a timely manner.

All American Ambulance Transport

AAA Transportation provide ambulance transportation for clients with severe medical needs such as life support, neo-natal intensive care, etc. All appropriate medical staff will be on hand. Will provide wheelchair access with a lift in vans. Fleet include ambulances, sedans for taxi-rides, luxury transport, and shuttle services. Medicaid patients may qualify for free or reduced rides.

Alltrans - ADA

Allegany County Transit operates the Alltrans, a demand response service for senior citizens and the ADA para-transit persons with disabilities who are unable to ride fixed route transit system.

American Cancer Society

This is a service specifically for cancer patients that have a diagnosis and are travelling for a cancer-related medical appointment. Patients must be able to walk unassisted to and from the vehicle, or have an accompanying caregiver to assist. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legally responsible adult such as a parent or caregiver. A 4 business day advance notice is required; not including the date transportation is needed.

Angel Wheels to Healing

Nonprofit corporation providing non-emergency long-distance ground transportation to patients in need. Annapolis ADA Para-Transit

The services below are provided for transit riders who are elderly (60 yrs old or older), and/or disabled. Out-of-town visitors are eligible for Annapolis Transit ADA complementary service for up to 21 days. After that the individual must obtain a valid Annapolis Transit Disability photo identification card. Listed below is all the information on how and where to apply for specialized services. Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disability - Van Transportation Program

Department of Aging and Disability falls under the auspices of the Anne Arundel County Government. Older adults and adults with disabilities can schedule in-county medical, shopping and work trips and can schedule rides to senior activity centers and senior lunch sites. Athelas Institute, Inc.

The institute's goal is to provide a variety of quality educational, rehabilitative, residential, employment, and individual support options for individuals with developmental disabilities within a supportive milieu utilizing natural supports to maximize opportunities for individual growth. The institute provides attendant care that provides transportation to grocery stores, doctor's appointments, and other errands. Baltimore CountyRide

CountyRide provides transportation services to Baltimore County residents age 60 and up, individuals with disabilities age 18 and up, and rural residents of all ages. Individuals seeking transportation with CountyRide must register and pass the eligibility requirements. For trips within Baltimore County, one ticket is required. For trips beyond Baltimore County, two tickets are required each direction. Service for Baltimore County residents is available to/from Baltimore City partner hospitals. Shuttle and taxi services are also available.

Baltimore VA Medical Center Escort Service

Escort Service transports patients, medical records and laboratory specimens throughout the Baltimore VA Medical Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The primary responsibility of Escort Service is to transport ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher patients to and from their appointments while at the medical center. Bowie Senior Center Transportation

The City of Bowie offers curb-to-curb transportation for Bowie seniors age 55 and older to the Senior Center, to medical appointments, to scheduled shopping locations, and to senior clubs and other locations on a priority basis. Transportation is offered only within the Bowie city limits. Daily transportation to the Center is offered between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. with return home at 2 p.m. Curb-to-curb transportation for non-senior Bowie residents with disabilities for medical appointments and other trips within the City limits. Meals for homebound are delivered weekdays to Seniors upon request to the Prince George's County Department of Family Services by calling 301-265-8450. A lift-equipped van is available for those in need. Please, let staff know if lift is necessary when making transportation appointment. Donation of 50 cents each ride.

Calvert County ADA Paratransit Services

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Calvert County Public Transportation provides para-transit service to persons determined as ADA para transit eligible for those trips that cannot be made using the county bus service. This service is provided to individuals who, because of a disability, are prevented from using Calvert County's standard bus service.

Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic

A free door-to-door transportation service is available Monday through Friday for Veteran patients that are referred by their VA provider/social worker, making below a minimum income level, have a catastrophic illness, qualify for VA beneficiary travel, and do not have any other transportation resources. This door-to-door service is available for eligible Veterans throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore that need transportation to the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic. Wheelchair vehicles are also available as a part of this free door-to-door shuttle service. To schedule a pick-up, please call (410) 228-6243, ext. 4167. Veteran patients are encouraged to call at least one week in advance of their scheduled appointment.

Caring Carroll

Caring Carroll is a volunteer-based organization that provides services for the elderly and people with disabilities. Their volunteers will provide transportation for their clients to and from medical appointments or other necessary destinations. A background check and one time payment of $12 are necessary to sign up. Once a person is approved, services are free of charge.

Carroll Transit System (CTS) Demand Response

Door-to-Door shared ride public transportation service for people whose disability and/or residential location prevents them from using Fixed Route Service. On an individual, case-by case basis, Carroll County public transit will assist riders beyond the curb when riders need such assistance to travel from their origin to their destination. You must call in advance to make a reservation to travel.

Charles County Medical Assistance Transportation

The Medical Assistance Transportation Grant Program is funded by the State of Maryland and coordinates transportation services for Medical Assistance recipients who reside in Charles County, and who are in need of transportation to access medically necessary services. This program provides "last resort" transportation for ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher-bound recipients who have no other means available of transport to get to and from medical appointments. This service is made possible through VanGO's partnership with the Charles County Health Department, which receives the state funding for MA transportation and contracts with VanGO to provide the service.
